deactivatemgrs command
Use the deactivatemgrs to deactivate an advanced manager that is currently activated.
Synopsis
smcli deactivatemgrs
[-h] [-?] [-- help]
Description
The deactivatemgrs command allows a user to deactivate an advanced manager which is currently in the activate state. Users can change an advanced manager at any time from the deactivated state to the activated state or the reverse.
Deactivated managers don't use any memory or CPU resource
and can improve the overall server performance. It is recommended
to keep as much unused function in the deactivate state for the best
performance.
Note: Both activation and deactivation of advanced managers
will require a restart of the IBM® Flex
System Manager.
Operands
One or more advanced managers where advanced_manager_name is the name of the advanced manager as the name provided for IBM Flex System Manager Network Control that is returned by the lsmgrs command
Options
- -h | -?
- Displays the syntax and a brief description of the command. Tip: If you specify additional options other than -h | -? | --help, the options are ignored.
- --help
- Displays detailed information about the command, including the
syntax, a description of the command, a description of the options
and operands, error codes, and examples. Tips:
- If you specify additional options other than -h | -? | --help, the options are ignored.
- You can also display detailed help in the form of man pages using the man command_name command.
Exit status
The following codes are returned by this command.- 0: Initiated the deactivation operation.
- 1: A usage error occurred.
- 2: The command or bundle was not valid.
- 3: The user did not have permission to execute command.
- 61: The specified advanced manager name is not valid.
- 62: The operation did not initiate because the advanced manager is deactivated.
