Viewing and analyzing the performance data
The performance monitoring tool allows you to view the performance metrics associated with GPFS and the associated protocols, get a graphical representation of the status and trends of the key performance indicators, and analyze IBM Spectrum Scale performance problems.
You can view and analyze the performance monitoring data using the following methods:
- Using the IBM Spectrum Scale GUI
- Using the mmperfmon command
- Using an open source visualization tool called Grafana
Note: The performance data that is available with mmperfmon query, GUI or any
other visualization tool depends on the which sensors are installed and enabled. This can be
determined by looking at the sensor configuration. For more information on sensor configuration, see
