Configuring sharing in a multidimensional resource plan

Follow these steps to configure resource sharing in a multidimensional resource plan.

Before you begin

You must have access to consumer "/" with resource plan control permission to configure a resource plan.

Procedure

  1. From the cluster management console Dashboard, select Resources > Resource Planning (Multidimensional) > Resource Plan.
  2. Select the Plan Details tab.
  3. Click Share.
  4. Set the time interval for when this resource sharing plan takes effect. See Adding a time interval.
  5. Specify the grace period for the share pool. This setting applies to the private share pool under the consumer it defines. A consumer can only use the share pool if it has a reclaim grace period that is less than or equal to this share pool grace period.
  6. Select a consumer for which you want to customize the configuration of resource share settings.
  7. Configure the share priority, share ratio and share limits for each consumer in the plan. The valid range for share priority is 1 to 10, with 1 being the highest priority; the default is 5. For share limits, you must specify a maximum amount of each resource metric that this consumer is willing to lend out to other consumers.

What to do next

Configure how many resources are owned by a consumer in the plan. See Configuring ownership in a multidimensional resource plan
