Viewing the history of a term

You can view the changes that were made to a term since it was created.

About this task

By default, the date and timestamp of the change, the change author, and any history-related comments are displayed. You can also customize the history table to display the changes that are made to other properties. If term history was migrated from a different instance of IBM® InfoSphere® Information Governance Catalog, the history is displayed for terms that exist in the catalog.
Note: When workflow is enabled, in Glossary Development, you can view the development history of the term on the details page of the term, in the Development Log section.

Procedure

  1. Click Catalog.
  2. Click Glossary.
  3. In the Browse list, click Terms.
  4. In the Browse Terms window, go the details page of a term.
  5. Expand History.
  6. To add properties to the history table, select Select a Property to Add to the Table. Then, select the property to add from the pull-down menu. To view the history of properties that are not displayed in the table by default, you must select them each time that you view the history.
