Checklist for migrating from Version 11.3 to Version 11.5

Use this migration checklist to migrate from InfoSphere® Information Server, Version 11.3 to InfoSphere Information Server, Version 11.5.

1. Complete the following tasks:
   • Verify migration requirements.
   • Design the migration topology.
   • Install the new version of InfoSphere Information Server.
2. Export the assets of any of the following products or components that you have, in any order, from your Version 11.3 source computer :
   • Common metadata.
   • Information Services Director
   • InfoSphere Data Click
   • InfoSphere DataStage
   • InfoSphere FastTrack
   • InfoSphere Information Analyzer
   • InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog
   • InfoSphere Information Governance Dashboard
   • InfoSphere QualityStage
   • Reports.
   • Users, groups and credentials
   Note: You can alternately export most types of assets by using the istool export command with the -all parameter.
3. Import each of the following products or components, in the following order, to your version 11.5 target computer:
   • Users, groups and credentials
   • Common metadata.
   • InfoSphere DataStage
   • InfoSphere QualityStage
   • Information Services Director
   • Reports.
   • InfoSphere Information Analyzer
   • InfoSphere FastTrack
   • InfoSphere Data Click
   • InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog
   • InfoSphere Information Governance Dashboard
   Note: You can alternately import most types of assets by using the istool import command with the -all parameter.
