Updating the analysis database owner account password

You can change your IBM® InfoSphere® Information Analyzer analysis database owner account credentials after installation.

Before you begin

You must have InfoSphere Information Analyzer administrator authority, and Common Metadata Importer or Common Metadata Administrator role.

About this task

The analysis database owner account has ownership authority over the analysis database. By default, the user name of this account is iauser.

The following procedure refers to changing the password by using IBM InfoSphere Metadata Asset Manager. If you want to change the password by using command line, see the technote How to update Data Connection password for IMAM Import Areas via imam.sh | .bat command.

You can't change the user name in an existing connection, you must create a new one. For more information, see Defining the connection to the analysis database.
