Unstructured Data stage - Configure window (Microsoft Excel Create)
You can define the mapping between DataStage columns and Microsoft Excel items.
- Output file
- Specify the properties for the output file.
- Write method
- If you write to one file, the name of the file in the File name property is used. If you write to multiple files, 3 digits sequential number and .xlsx extension are added to the prefix string in the File name property.
- File name
- For a single file, specify the complete file path to write the file to. Include a file name with the .xlsx extension. For multiple files, specify the full path for a directory to write the files to and file name prefix
- File update mode
- Specify whether to create a new file or overwrite a file that exists.
- View
- Click View to see the contents of the file. The contents can be shown only when the file already exists. You must have Microsoft Excel installed or some other application to view or open a Microsoft Excel file.
- Properties
- Set for all links
- Select to apply properties to all links.
- Link
- Select the output link that you want to configure.
- Column header
- Specify whether to write InfoSphere DataStage column names or data to the first row of the sheet.
- Adjust column width
- Specify whether to adjust the column width in the sheet to fit the contents of the column.
- Maximum number of rows in a sheet
- Specify the maximum number of rows to include in a sheet. If the number of rows that are written is greater than the specified value, a new file is generated. The column header is included in the row count.
- Sheet order
- You can specify the sheet name by modifying the Sheet
name column. To change the sheet order, select a row and
click Move up or Move down button.
- Link name
- Displays link name.
- Sheet name
- Specify Microsoft Excel sheet name that you want to create.
