Getting started with your development project
Depending on your role and goals, you will have different tasks to do to get started with a project. This topic provides pointers to information on initial steps for you to take.
Managing dashboards
Use dashboards to see a high-level overview of your project, team, or workload status. The Jazz Team Server Dashboards component provides you the ability to create, share and manipulate dashboards.
Creating release and sprint development plans
Plans describe a set of work items that are to be completed within the specified amount of time.
Schedule Risk Assessed Sprint Backlog plan
A plan typically consists of a series of iterations and each iteration consists of work items that are scheduled to be completed within an iteration. You provide the estimate for each work item. Given the number of work items and their estimates within the duration of an iteration, work items can be categorized from very probably to improbably able to complete in an iteration. The Schedule Risk Assessed Sprint Backlog plan helps in determining the work items that might go in or slip away in an iteration.
Creating and editing plan views
You can use plan views to group work items. For example, you can group work items in a tree by owner or by priority. You can set a view to filter resolved work items, or you can add a status column to view and highlight high-priority work items with a color.
Instant messaging
You can initiate chats with team members from within the development environment to get increased collaboration.
