IBM Business Automation Application Designer
IBM Business Automation Application Designer is a low-code
application builder that you can use to create, modify, and refine business automation-based
applications (apps) that use the capabilities of the platform. These apps are available to users in
IBM Business Automation Navigator and run in the IBM Business Automation Application Engine .
App Designer Overview
Automate repetitive and time-consuming work by quickly building user interfaces that integrate tasks and data.
User interface elements
Users interact with your application through user interfaces. Before you begin building your apps, review these user interface elements.
Creating an app
Use App Designer to create apps of varying complexity.
Creating actions
Actions are services that allow your app to interact with server-level capabilities, or assets from other offerings. You can configure an action for a view. For example, a user can click a button to launch a workflow service that opens a mortgage application. Actions might be contributed in a toolkit by an other offering, or authored by a technical user in an app project of a toolkit.
Creating reusable views
To contain functions or user interface elements that another view or page can use, create a view.
Testing apps
Test your app to validate its execution.
Publishing and administering apps
Users with administrative privileges can publish apps by installing them in the App Engine and making them available in IBM Business Automation Navigator , where end users can work with the apps.
