You use the Labor Reporting application to report the type
and the total number of hours worked. You can create, modify, delete,
approve, and invoice labor transactions.
Creating labor transactions
As work is done to complete a work order, you create labor
transactions in the Labor Reporting application to record the work.
You can enter labor transactions by labor, by vendor/contract, by
work order, or by ticket.
Reporting work hours by work order
You use the Labor Reporting application to specify work
hours by work order. Reporting hours by work order is useful when
you have a stack of work orders to report. You enter transactions
for work orders whose status is not WAPPR (Waiting for Approval),
CAN (Canceled), or CLOSE (Closed).
Reporting work hours by labor code
Use the Labor Reporting application in the Work Orders
module to specify work hours by labor code, tracking the time spent
on specific tasks. You also can record daily attendance for each labor
code.
Reporting work hours by ticket
When you report labor hours, you can report them by ticket.
You can specify a ticket and report all the labor transactions for
that ticket. When you report labor hours by ticket, the asset, location,
and start date are copied from the ticket.
Specifying labor transactions by contract/vendor
When you have work performed by a vendor or by an outside
contractor, you can specify labor transactions by vendor. The contract
and vendor association are validated.
Recording daily attendance
You can record daily attendance when you specify labor
transactions by work order, by ticket, by labor, or by contract/vendor.
Creating invoices
Your invoices can consolidate the labor transactions by
work order or can list each transaction on its own line. When you
create invoices for multiple labor transactions with different vendors,
a separate invoice is created for each vendor.
