Updating metadata (including creating)
You can update and create metadata by using the actions described in the following subtopics:
- Updating a single property value
A single property can be updated by naming the property in the URL and passing the value in the body of the HTTP request. - Updating a single relationship
A single relationship can have target bsrURIs set on it. The targetBsrURI is the bsrURI of an object that exists in the registry. - Updating multiple properties
Multiple properties can be created or added in one request. - Updating multiple relationships
You can update multiple relationships at the same time. The targetBsrURI is the bsrURI of an object that exists in the registry. - Adding a single target to a relationship
You can add a single target to a relationship without deleting existing relationships. - Updating classifications
Classifications can be added to an object. - Adding a single classification to a classification list
Classifications can be added to the classification list without deleting any of the existing classifications. - Updating all metadata
You can update all types of metadata in a single operation. You can also use the same format of message to create GenericObjects with properties and relationships. In order to do this you must use the content url /Content/GenericObject.
