Setting the direction of the initial synchronization operation

This topic explains the directions available for the initial synchronization operation that occurs when creating the association between an NSF and an on-disk project.

While creating the association between an NSF and an on-disk project, you need to select the direction of the initial synchronization operation. This can be one of the following:

• Export from nsf file name to selected on-disk project -- When the initial direction is set to this, the initial synchronization operation will export all the contents from the virtual NSF project to the on-disk project in a suitable format, which you can then commit to a source control repository.
• Import from selected on-disk project into nsf file name -- When the initial direction is set to this, the initial synchronization operation will update the NSF project with the content from disk based project.
