IPR Reload control statements

The following topics describe the control statements supported for the HPSIN input data set.

Syntax for the IPR Reload control statements
The control statements must conform to the following syntax.
Overview of the IPR Reload control statements
You can choose many options with IPR Reload utility control statements.
BMSETDSG control statement
Specifies the threshold value that is used to set the bitmap block of an HDAM, a HIDAM, a PHDAM, or a PHIDAM database. The value can be specified for each DSG.
BUFFERNO control statement
Specifies the number of database buffers that are used for one database data set group when reading or writing the database.
BYTELIMIT control statement
Specifies the maximum number of bytes for a database record that can be inserted into the root addressable area.
CHKEMPTYUL control statement
Specifies whether to check if the unloaded data set contains segment data. Also, specifies the return code that is set when no segment data is found in the unloaded data set.
CHKTRAIL control statement
Specifies whether to check if a trailer record exists in the *HD or *SH format of the unload data set.
CHKUPDT control statement
Specifies whether you want to do an IPR Reload utility check against DBRC to see if an update of the database has been done between unload and reload processes.
COMPAUTH control statement
Specifies whether to call the segment compression exit in supervisor state.
COMPRESS control statement
Specifies whether you want to use a segment compression exit.
DATXEXIT control statement
Specifies whether you want to activate the IMS/ESA® Year 2000 Exit Tool (5697-E04) support.
DBDSNAP control statement
Specifies whether you want to generate a snap dump report of the DBD.
DBIOBUF control statement
Specifies the number of tracks for the access method (VSAM or BSAM) buffers that are used for one database data set group when the database is read or written to.
DBRECDIST control statement
Specifies whether to generate the Distribution of Database Record Sizes report, and if so, the range of database record sizes in bytes.
DBRLBUF control statement
Specifies the amount (the number of tracks) of database buffers that are used for one database data set group when reading or writing the database.
DECODEDBD control statement
Specifies whether to decode the DBD and print the resulting DBD source statements in the Decoded DBD report.
EXTENT control statement
Specifies the maximum number of extensions of the OSAM data set that can be created.
FRSPC control statement
Specifies whether the IPR Reload utility secures free space according to the specification of the FRSPC parameter in DBD.
GDGBASE control statement
Specifies whether to create a generation data group (GDG) base entry when a GDG base entry does not exist.
GDGLIMIT control statement
Specifies the maximum number of generation data sets (GDS) that can be associated with the generation data group (GDG) that is to be created. This specification is valid only when GDGBASE=YES is specified.
HPIO control statement
Specifies whether the IPR Reload utility uses High Performance I/O Driver for output database data sets.
ILDSBLD control statement
Specifies whether to build ILDS and how to build the ILDS.
ILEDATAC control statement
Specifies the name of the data class for the HPSRILEA and HPSRILEB data sets.
ILESTORC control statement
Specifies the name of the storage class for the HPSRILEA and HPSRILEB data sets.
INPUT control statement
Specifies an optional user exit routine to be applied before the input segment data is passed to the loading process.
ITKBLOAD control statement
Specifies the name of the load module library for IMS Tools KB.
ITKBSRVR control statement
Specifies the name of the IMS Tools KB server XCF group.
LPART control statement
Specifies the HALDB partitions to load.
OADSPR control statement
Specifies whether the IPR Reload utility reduces the usage of data space (DSP) when processing the overflow area by using the High Performance I/O Driver or by using an OVERFLOW DD.

Specifies the padding character to fill out the segments to adjust to the length that is defined in the DBD definition.
PARTINFO control statement
Specifies whether to generate the HALDB Partition Definition report.
PARTINIT control statement
Specifies whether to initialize HALDB partitions after reload. IMS HP Load initializes a HALDB partition when a HALDB partition does not contain any segment during reload.
PROGMON control statement
Specifies whether the IPR Reload utility issues a progress monitoring message at the specified intervals.
RAAFORMAT control statement
Specifies whether the IPR Reload utility formats RAA blocks of an HDAM or PHDAM database regardless of the number of blocks used.
RAPCHAIN control statement
Specifies whether to generate the Distribution of HDAM RAP Chain Length section in the HDAM Root Addressable Area Statistics report.
RECNUM control statement
Specifies the number of unloaded records to be reloaded. It helps to optimize the DFSORT main storage and the allocation of the intermediate storage data sets.
REPAIRILK control statement
Specifies whether to reassign indirect list keys (ILKs) in the segment prefix portion. In reassigning ILKs, the IPR Reload utility uses new RBA, partition ID, and reorganization number.
RMBSEGSZ control statement
specifies how the IPR Reload utility calculates the database record size to determine whether to put the records to the overflow area.
SEARCH control statement
Specifies the limit value for the space search algorithm that locates a segment that does not fit in its home block.
SEQERROR control statement
Specifies how to handle key sequence errors in the input unloaded data.
SORT control statement
Specifies whether to run the physical sequential sort processing before reloading.
SORTHIDAM control statement
Specifies whether to run the sort processing before loading a HIDAM or a PHIDAM.
TWINSTAT control statement
Specifies whether to print statistics about the twin chained segments.
USERHDR control statement
Specifies the name of the element of the header portion of the unloaded record to read the customized unload file.
USERHDRX control statement
Specifies whether the IPR Reload utility invokes a user header conversion exit routine.
WF1DSN control statement
Specifies the data set name for the DFSURWF1 data set that is to be dynamically allocated.
WF1REC control statement
Specifies whether to create WF1 records that are written to the DFSURWF1 or HPSRSINDX output work data set, which are used as input to resolve a logical or secondary index relationships. The WF1REC control statement is not valid for a HALDB.
WF1SPACE control statement
Specifies the space parameter for the DFSURWF1 data set that is to be dynamically allocated. This specification is valid only when WF1DSN is specified.
WF1UNIT control statement
Specifies the device for the DFSURWF1 data set that is to be dynamically allocated. This specification is valid only when WF1DSN control statement is specified.
WF1VOL control statement
Specifies one or more volume names for DFSURWF1 data set that is to be dynamically allocated. This specification is valid only when WF1DSN control statement is specified.
WFPHLQ control statement
Specifies the high-level qualifier for the WFP data sets.
WFPSPACE control statement
Specifies the SPACE parameter for the WFP data sets when allocating WFP data sets dynamically.
WFPUNIT control statement
Specifies the device for the WFP data sets when allocating WFP data sets dynamically.
WFPVOL control statement
Specifies the device for the WFP data sets when allocating WFP data sets dynamically.
WFPVOLCNT control statement
Specifies the device for the WFP data sets when allocating WFP data sets dynamically.
ZIIPMODE control statement
Specifies whether IPR Reload utility offloads eligible I/O workloads to zIIP processors.
