HPSG0335E DBRC AUTHORIZATION CONDITION IS NOT SATISFIED

Explanation

This message is preceded by one or more HPSG0334I messages, message HPSG0351I, or message HPSG0352I. These messages indicate the failed DBRC authorization request as follows:
  • EXCLUSIVE and PROHIBIT AUTHORIZATION indicate that the exclusive authorization is required and no concurrent access from another IMS subsystem or batch job is allowed.
  • READ-EXCL and READ-ONLY indicate that the exclusive authorization is required, but read-only access by other IMS subsystems or batch jobs is allowed.

This message can be issued if the RECON data sets used in the job and those used in online are different.

System action

The Smart Reorg utility ends with a return code of 8.

Operator response

First, check if the correct RECON data sets are used for the job. If the database is being used online, issue the following command for the database:
  • For READ-EXCL, the /DBD command
  • For EXCLUSIVE, the /DBR command
If batch jobs are running, cancel the jobs or wait for the completion of the jobs. If you confirm that the /DBD or /DBD command has been processed successfully on all IMS subsystems that share the database, and no batch job is accessing the database (when EXCLUSIVE) or only the read-only batch jobs are running (when READ-EXCL), rerun the job.
