Installing and uninstalling the client tools software

The client tools software of the IBM® Netezza® appliance contains the ODBC drivers, the JDBC drivers, the OLE DB provider, and the .NET Provider that connect to a Netezza appliance from a client system.

The first step in preparing a system for ODBC, JDBC, OLE DB, or .NET is to install the Netezza appliance client tools software on your system. If the client tools software is installed, skip this section. After you install the client tools software, you can install the ODBC drivers, the JDBC drivers, the OLE DB provider, or the .NET Provider.
