spec.version values
Use this information to identify the spec.version value that you require when creating an instance (or custom resource) by using the App Connect Dashboard, App Connect Designer Authoring, Switch Server, and Integration Server APIs that the IBM® App Connect Operator provides.
You can specify the spec.version value either as a fully qualified version or as a channel:
- If you specify a fully qualified version, the IBM App Connect Operator
creates an instance of that specific version. Fully qualified versions are annotated with
-rX; for example,12.0.10.0-r1-lts. - If you specify a channel (which omits the
-rXannotation), the IBM App Connect Operator identifies the latest fully qualified version on that channel. For example:- Specifying
12.0-ltsresults in the latest12.0.M.F-rX-ltsversion (where M identifies a modification number, F identifies a fix pack number, and X is a number starting at 1).
When choosing a channel, be aware that when new Operator patch versions are installed, your instances will be updated to the latest known version if the approval strategy of the Operator was set to
Automaticduring installation (and a license change is not required). - Specifying
- The fully qualified versions (or channels) with an
ltssuffix are delivered with the Long Term Support (LTS) release of IBM App Connect Operator 5.0.x and are required to qualify for LTS support. - The fully qualified versions with an
eussuffix were initially delivered with the Extended Update Support (EUS) release of IBM App Connect Operator 1.1.x and are included only to support an upgrade from an EUS to LTS release of the Operator. - The fully qualified versions (or channels) without an
ltsoreussuffix were initially delivered with the Continuous Delivery (CD) release of IBM App Connect Operator 4.2.0 or earlier (excluding version 1.1.x) and are included only to support an upgrade from a CD to an LTS release of the Operator.
