If you have changed the host name or port for a source
datastore, you need to ensure the existing subscriptions associated
with the datastore can map to the new datastore configuration information.
About this task
Existing subscriptions for the datastore must map appropriately
to the new host name or port, or you may not be able to connect to
the datastore or replicate data to the target datastore. The source
subscription configuration can optionally identify the host name that
is used to select the network interface used by CDC Replication.
When you change the host name for the source machine and update the
datastore definition in Access Manager,
the subscription itself may still reference the old host name or port.
To resolve this, change the source subscriptions so that the datastore
is associated with the new host name and port.
Procedure
- Restart Access Server to ensure
there are no users logged in.
- Start Management Console and log into Access Server.
Note: If you use the auto-connect feature for
connecting to datastores, turn it off by clicking , and disabling Connect
to Datastores Automatically prior to connecting to Access Server.
- Click .
- Right-click the datastore and select Properties.
- Update the Host Name and Port fields
for the datastore.
- Click OK.
- Click to log off Access Server.
- Click and log back into Access Server.

.
- Connect to the source datastore
by right-click it and selecting Connect.
- Right-click the subscription
from the Subscriptions perspective, and select Properties.
- Click Advanced
Settings.
- Verify that the value in the TCP
Host field. If it identifies the old host name, select Auto-Select and
then click OK.
- Click OK.
- If this datastore is also the target for subscriptions,
follow the steps to update related subscriptions in Updating host names and port changes for target datastores and associated subscriptions.
