This feature integrates the installation of an agent with the dispersal and installation of associated product support files throughout your IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring infrastructure.
The self-describing agent feature makes it possible for new or updated Tivoli Monitoring agents to become operational after installation, without having to perform additional product support installation steps. Self-describing agents apply version updates to other components automatically without the need to recycle your hub Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server, Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server, or remote Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server.
