The Tivoli® Performance Analyzer can be installed onto a stand-alone workstation, onto the same workstation as the Tivoli Monitoring environment if it is installed on a single machine, or onto the same workstation as any other Tivoli Monitoring element in a distributed environment.
For large environments, it might be necessary to increase the maximum Java™ heap size to 512 MB. For more information, see Setting the maximum Java heap size. Before installing Analytic Agent make sure that your Tivoli Monitoring environment includes the listed products, that they are configured and that you have administrator access to the following components:
The analytical calculations performed by Tivoli Performance Analyzer use the data in Tivoli Data Warehouse. Your Tivoli Monitoring installation must therefore be configured for History Collection and Warehouse Summarization and Pruning.
