Changing the license server search order in License Key Administrator

You can change the order of the license servers that the IBM® Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) or IBM Rational® products install on your client access.

About this task

The license server list is displayed in the Client/Server Configuration window in the License Key Administrator. The task of changing the server search order does not affect the order that the ELM or IBM Rational products request licenses from a server.

Procedure

To change the server search order:

  1. In License Key Administrator, click Settings > Client/Server Configuration. The current server search order is displayed in the Search Order list.
  2. Click Up and Down to change the search order for selected servers in the list.
  3. Optional: You can add and remove servers from the list.
  4. Click Next > Finish to complete the change.
