About this task

Jazz authorized user license reporting is only supported by the Jazz authorized user log file: calLogFile.csv. The calLogFile.csv file logs the license usage data at hourly intervals only. Other intervals are not supported. Hourly intervals are used to prevent large log files.

The log file contains the time, user ID, host application, product, CAL type, count, and log entry.

Procedure

  1. Install or upgrade the server administration agent.
Note: During the agent installation or upgrade, you must select the agent type as ELM AU Server, and you must ensure that the agent uses the calLogFile.csv file.
  2. Create a report definition.

    Only user-based reports are supported.

  3. Run the report definition.

    Here is a sample report:

Note: When the license type is ELM AU, the values in the License Hours or Number of accesses column are the number of accesses, not the license hours.
