Installing Rational License Key Server Administration and Reporting Tool
To install and use the reporting tool, you must install both the server administration agent and the server administration and reporting tool. You must install the administration agent on all the license server machines that you want to enable for reporting. If you have more than one instance of the IBM Common Licensing, you must install the server administration agent on each instance of the license server where you want to remotely administer the agent or remotely generate reports. You can install one or more instances of the server administration and reporting tool as required. Installation prerequisites
- Ensure that the IBM Common Licensing is installed. For details, see Installing.
- Ensure that the Jazz™ Team Server is installed and configured as a license server.
- Ensure that you understand the system requirements before you install the server administration agent and the server administration and reporting tool.
- Ensure that the IBM Db2® is installed and configured with Rational License Key Server Administration and Reporting Tool schema. For details, see Configuring the Db2 database
Installation roadmap
Follow these steps to complete your installation of the server administration agent and the server administration and reporting tool.
- Install the server administration agent on all of the license servers that you want to enable for reporting.
- Install the server administration and reporting tool.
- If you are using a Jazz Team Server (license server) with floating licenses, enable floating license logging. See How do I enable a floating log file for a CLM license server?.
- Start the server administration agent. See Installing Rational License Key Server Administration Agent.
