Adding resource definitions to a group

This example task shows you how to use IBM® CICS Explorer® to add one or more CICS® resource definitions to a group.

Before you begin

Locate and select the resource definition to be added to a group. You can add only a single resource to a group. See the Browsing and editing resources task for further information on locating resources.

Procedure

  1. Right-click the selected resource. A menu is displayed.
  2. Click Add to Group. The Add To Group dialog box is displayed.
  3. The Add To Group dialog displays a list of all the groups in the current CICSplex. Select a group by clicking in the box next to the group name.
  4. Click OK to add the resource to the group, or Cancel to cancel the action.

Results

If you clicked OK, the resource is added to the group. An information message is displayed in the workbench status bar to indicate the status of the action.
