This reference information describes the CICS® Explorer SM Definition views.

Application Definitions view
The Application Definitions (APPLDEF) view contains information about applications. On installation of this resource an APPLCTN resource is created. An APPLCTN resource displays information about CICS applications. An application references a set of bundles that define where the application code is located, the prerequisite services that must be available, and the CICS resources that are required in each CICS region in which the application runs.
Atom Service Definitions view
The ATOMSERVICE Resource definitions (ATOMDEF) views display information about BAS, and CSD, resource definitions for Atom service. ATOMSERVICE resource definitions define an Atom service, feed, collection or category document, and identifies the Atom configuration file, CICS resource or application program, and Atom binding file that are used to supply the data for the feed. You also need URIMAP resource definitions to handle incoming client requests and point to appropriate ATOMSERVICE resource definitions.
BAS Resource Assignments view
The BAS Resource Assignments (RASGNDEF) view displays information about the characteristics of resource definitions of a particular resource group and class, and how those resources are to be assigned to and installed in a set of CICS systems.
BAS Resource Descriptions view
For a CICSplex, the BAS Resource Descriptions view displays all the BAS resource descriptions (RESDESC) in the CICSplex data repository.
BAS Resource Groups view
For a CICSplex, the BAS Resource Groups view displays the BAS resource groups (RESGROUP) in the CICSplex data repository.
Bundle Definitions view
The Bundle Definitions (BUNDDEF) view displays bundle characteristics. A Bundle is a directory hierarchy that contains a collection of CICS resources, artifacts, references and a manifest that you can deploy into a CICS region to represent an application.
CICSplex Definitions view
The CICSplex definitions (CPLEXDEF) view displays information about the CICSplexes associated with the local CMAS.
CMAS to CMAS Link Definitions view
The CMAS to CMAS Link Definitions (CMTCMDEF) view displays information about the direct LU 6.2 and MRO communication links between the local CMAS and any other CMASs.
CorbaServer Definitions view
The CorbaServer Definitions (EJCODEF) view displays information about the physical and operational characteristics of CorbaServer definitions.
CSD Resource Groups view
For a CICS region, the CSD Resource Groups view displays all the CICS groups (CSDGROUP) in its CSD.
CSD Resource Lists view
For a CICS region, the CSD Resource Lists view displays all the CICS group lists (CSDLIST) in its CSD.
DB2 Connection Definitions view
The DB2 Connection Definitions (DB2CDEF) view displays information about the global characteristics of connection definitions between CICS regions and a Db2® subsystem by means of the Db2 attachment facility.
DB2 Entry Definitions view
The DB2 Entry Definitions (DB2EDEF) view displays information about the attributes of entry thread definitions that are used by the CICS Db2 attachment facility.
DB2 Transaction Definitions view
The DB2 Transaction Definitions (DB2TDEF) view displays information about the resources required by CICS transactions that access a Db2 subsystem by means of the Db2 attachment facility.
Deployed JAR File Definitions view
The Deployed JAR File Definitions (EJDJDEF) view displays information about the physical and operational characteristics of deployed JAR file definitions.
Document Template Definitions view
The Document Template Definitions (DOCDEF) view displays information about document template definitions for use in managed CICS systems.
Enqueue Model Definitions view
The Enqueue Model Definitions (ENQMDEF) view displays information about how enqueue models are to run in a CICS system.
File Definitions view
The File Definitions (FILEDEF) view displays information about the physical and operational characteristics of file definitions.
IPIC Connection Definitions view
The IPIC connection definitions (IPCONDEF) view displays information about remote systems that a CICS system communicates with using IP intercommunications connections.
ISC/MRO Connection Definitions view
The ISC/MRO Connection Definitions (CONNDEF) view displays remote systems that a CICS system communicates with using intersystem communication (ISC) or multiple region operation (MRO).
Journal Model Definitions view
The Journal Model Definitions (JRNMDEF) view displays information about the association between a CICS journal name and the MVS system log streams or the SMF log.
JVM Server Definitions view
The JVM Server Definitions (JVMSVDEF) view displays information about the runtime environment for a JVM server.
LIBRARY Definitions view
The LIBRARY Definitions (LIBDEF) view displays information about dynamic program LIBRARY definitions.
LSR Pool Definitions view
The LSR Pool Definitions (LSRDEF) view displays information about the size and characteristics of local shared resource pool definitions that VSAM uses for certain files.
Map Set Definitions view
The Map Set Definitions (MAPDEF) view displays information about the characteristics of a group of related screen layouts, or map definitions.
MQ Connection Definitions view
The MQ Connection Definitions (MQCONDEF) view displays the attributes of the MQCONN resource definition for the CICS region.
MQ Monitor Definitions view
The MQ Monitor Definitions (MQMONDEF) view displays attributes of an MQMONITOR resource definition installed in the CICS region. An MQMONITOR resource defines attributes for IBM® MQ message consumers. A CICS region can have many MQMONITOR resource definitions installed.
Partition Set Definitions view
The Partition Set Definitions (PRTNDEF) view displays information about the characteristics of display partition configuration definitions.
Partner Definitions view
The Partner Definitions (PARTDEF) view displays information about the physical and operational characteristics of partner definitions. Partner definitions enable CICS application programs to communicate via APPC protocols with a partner application program running on a remote logical unit.
Pipeline Definitions view
The Pipeline Definitions (PIPEDEF) view displays information about the message handler programs that act on a service request and on the response. A pipeline resource definition is used when a CICS application is acting as a Web service provider or requester.
Platform Definitions view
The Platform Definitions (PLATDEF) view contains information about platforms. During installation of this resource a PLATFORM resource is created. A PLATFORM resource displays information about a CICS platform.
Process Type Definitions view
The Process Type Definitions (PROCDEF) view displays information about the physical and operational characteristics of CICS business transaction services (BTS) process type definitions.
Profile Definitions view
The Profile Definitions (PROFDEF) view displays information about the interactions between transactions and terminals or logical units.
Program Definitions view
The Program Definitions (PROGDEF) view displays information about the control information for a program that is stored in the program library and used to process a transaction.
Request Model Definitions view
The Request Model Definitions (RQMDEF) view displays information about the characteristics of request model definitions, which associate inbound IIOP requests with a set of execution characteristics, such as security or priority, and with monitoring and accounting data.
Session Definitions view
The Session Definitions (SESSDEF) view displays information about the logical links between systems that communicate using intersystem communication (ISC) or multiple region operation (MRO).
System Definitions view
The System Definitions (CSYSDEF) views displays information about CICS systems that are managed as part of a CICSPlex®.
System Group Definitions view
The System Group Definitions (CSYSGRP) view displays CICS system group, which is used to set the scope for a CICSplex.
System Resources (SYSRES) view
The System Resources (SYSRES) view displays information about the resources that are assigned to a specified CICS system.
TCP/IP Service Definitions view
The TCP/IP Service Definitions (TCPDEF) view displays information about the TCP/IP service definitions that use internal sockets support.
TD Queue Definitions view
The Transient Data Queue Definitions (TDQDEF) view displays information about intrapartition, extrapartition, indirect, and remote transient data destination definitions.
Terminal Definitions view
The Terminal Definitions (TERMDEF) view displays information about the unique characteristics of the terminal device definitions (including visual display units, printers, and operating system consoles) with which CICS communicates.
Transaction Class Definitions view
The Transaction Class Definitions (TRNCLDEF) view displays information about the way that transactions are to run in CICS systems.
Transaction Definitions view
The Transaction Definitions (TRANDEF) view displays information about how transactions are to run in CICS systems.
TS Model Definitions view
The Temporary Storage Model Definitions (TSMDEF) view displays information about all the attributes of temporary storage models defined in the CICSPlex SM data repository. When installed in a target CICS system, these temporary storage model attributes govern the characteristics of those CICS temporary storage queues with names that generically match that of the prefix field.
Typeterm Definitions view
The Typeterm Definitions (TYPTMDEF) view displays information about sets of common attributes for a group of terminals.
URI Map Definitions view
The URI Map Definitions (URIMPDEF) view displays information about the URIs of HTTP or web service requests.
Web Service Definitions view
The Web Service Definitions (WEBSVDEF) views display information about aspects of the run-time environment for a CICS application program deployed in a Web services setting, where mapping between application data structure and SOAP messages has been generated using the CICS Web services assistant.
