In addition to these Release Notes, you might need to read other release documentation before installing, upgrading, uninstalling, or rolling back any product or component.

  • If you are installing Network Manager with other products, also read the Release Notes for those products.
  • If you are installing Network Manager as part of a solution, also read the Release Notes for that solution. For example, if you are installing Network Manager as part of IBM Netcool Operations Insight, read the Release Notes for IBM Netcool Operations Insight.
  • Also read the README files, if any, for all products and components that you are installing or upgrading.
  • For a list of resolved APARs, see the README file downloaded with the product.

Fix pack releases

The following table lists the release dates of the product and fix packs. Fix packs are cumulative.

The table also lists which fix packs include database schema changes. If the fix pack that you want to upgrade to, or any of the intervening fix packs, contain database schema changes then you must apply these updates as described in Applying schema updates for a fixpack.

Product description

IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition provides detailed network discovery, device monitoring, topology visualization, and root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities. Network Manager can be extensively customized and configured to manage different networks. Network Manager is tightly integrated with IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus. When installed together with the IBM Netcool Operations Insight infrastructure and operations management solution, then Network Manager is a key component within that solution, where it is also tightly integrated with Netcool/Impact, and IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis. Network Manager also provides extensive reporting features, and integration with other IBM products, such as IBM Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager, IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager and IBM Tivoli Monitoring.
