Changing the ldapdb2 user password
You might need to configure IBM Security Identity Manager to use a new password for the ldapdb2 user.
Before you begin
Depending on how your system administrator customized your system, you might not have access to this task. To obtain access to this task or to have someone complete it for you, contact your system administrator.
You must be a system administrator on the IBM® Security Identity Manager Server to have access to this task.
About this task
To change the password for the LDAP database user, complete these steps:
Procedure
- Navigate to the drive:\idsslapd-ldapb2\etc directory.
- Edit the
ibmslapd.conf
file with a text editor. - In the
ibmslapd.conf
file, locateibm-slapdDbInstance
:ldapbdb2
. - Change the password for the
ibm-slapdDbUserPW
property. The password currently in the file is encrypted. Replace the old password by typing the new password in clear text, and save the change.
