Attributes
Attributes produced by the IBM MQ Monitoring Agent are used in workspaces, situations and historical recording. Attributes are part of attribute groups. A given attribute group may be available only for workspace usage and/or historical usage. However, in these cases, you can find the same attributes in another attribute group that is available for situation usage.
Use attributes of IBM MQ Monitoring Agent to create situations that monitor for specific alerts or types of alerts. For example, you can create situations that monitor for alerts with a specific severity. When the values for attributes of alerts that are relayed to a TivoliĀ® Enterprise Monitoring Server match the values that you specify in situations, the appearances of the managed objects that are associated with the situations are changed, alerting you to problems. When building situations, specify attributes using the following format:
Group_Name.Attribute_Name
IBM MQ Monitoring Agent provides a variety of default workspaces. A table view within a workspace corresponds to a group of attributes; in most cases, the columns in the table view correspond to the attributes that are available for the creation of situations.
