Linking mailslots from Sterling Document Tracking to a user's IBMid as an admin

Users can link multiple B2Bi SaaS Hub accounts to their IBMid. However, users who have multiple linked accounts with access to Sterling Document Tracking can only see mailslots from the first linked account that was used to access it. Depending on the desired solution, admins can link mailslots from other linked accounts to a user's IBMid, or users can create a separate IBMid for each account with access to Sterling Document Tracking. IBM Support can also help if the wrong account was linked to Sterling Document Tracking.

Note: This scenario applies to users who have multiple linked accounts with access to Sterling Document Tracking. If a user has only one account with access to Sterling Document Tracking, no action is necessary, and they can continue to use Sterling Document Tracking as they did before.

Getting access to additional mailslots

Linking mailslots to a user's IBMid

Any mailslots that are linked to a user's IBMid can be viewed with a single login. Users who have multiple Sterling Customer Center accounts with access to Sterling Document Tracking can therefore link the mailslots from these separate accounts to their IBMid, and view all of them by logging in with their IBMid and password. Admins can follow this procedure to link additional mailslots to a user's IBMid.

Note: These instructions are intended for admins, but you can also contact IBM Support for assistance.
To link additional mailslots to a user's IBMid:
  1. Go to the User Name Administration page in Sterling Document Tracking.
  2. From the mailslot ID dropdown, select the mailslot ID of the mailslot that you want to add to the user's IBMid.
  3. Click Add New User.
  4. Complete the Creating a User Account procedure in the Sterling Document Tracking documentation, starting with step 3. In the User Name field, type the user's IBMid.

Creating additional IBMids

Users can also create separate IBMids for each account that has access to Sterling Document Tracking. This solution does not require assistance from an admin or IBM Support. However, users who take this approach cannot see all of their mailslots with one IBMid login, so this solution is best for users who would like to maintain the same separate accounts they had in Sterling Customer Center.
