Adding a connection factory in WebSphere Application Server

You can use the WebSphere Application Server administration console to add connection factories for the execution unit (XU).

To add a connection factory in WebSphere® Application Server:

1. Open the administration console.
2. Click Resources > Resource Adapters > Resource adapters.
3. In the Resource adapters panel, select the resource adapter that you want to configure.
4. Under Additional Properties, click J2C connection factories.
5. Click New, and then specify any properties for the connection factory.
6. Restart the Deployment Manager and the node agent for the changes to take effect.
