Checking ruleflows

You review errors and warnings in the Ruleflow Editor.

About this task

Deprecated feature:

Deprecation icon Rule Solutions for Office (RSO) is deprecated in V8.8.1. This feature will be removed in a future release of the product. See Deprecated features for migration details.

The Ruleflow Editor detects errors as you edit a ruleflow, and suggests fixes for repairing them. You can view errors and warnings in the ruleflow diagram and the Problem List.

To fix a single error in a ruleflow, right-click the element where the error is raised, and click Fix Errors. In the Check Ruleflow dialog box, you can see a description of the error, and advice on how to fix it. Likewise, you click the error icon in a ruleflow node to display a list of errors. You can use this list to fix errors one at a time.

You can also carry out a global check of all the ruleflow errors and warnings.

Procedure

To check a ruleflow:

  1. In the Ruleflow Editor, click Check Ruleflow.

The Check Ruleflow dialog displays the type of element where the error is raised, the error name, and an explanation of the error.

  2. To fix the error, select one of the suggested fixes in the Suggestions list, and then click Apply. The Ruleflow Editor opens the dialog in which you can fix the error. To skip the error, click Ignore. To skip all errors for the current type of ruleflow element, click Ignore Element.
