Task 4: Deploying the decision service

You deploy your artifacts so that you can execute the ruleset on z/OS®.

About this task

To be able to execute your ruleset with zRule Execution Server for z/OS, you must deploy the decision service to zRule Execution Server for z/OS.

When you finish the previous step, the ruleset version policy is set to Increment minor version numbers in the Decision Operations tab, which retains the major version number and updates the minor version number. Also, in the Overview tab, you see that this deployment configuration is set to nonproduction

Procedure

  1. In the Overview tab, click Define target servers.
    1. In the Deployment Locations section, click A plus sign.
    2. In the Target Server window, keep the default Create a Rule Execution Server connection, and click Next.
    3. Enter each field:
      • Name: Sample
      • URL: http://your.server.address:PORT/res
      • User name: resAdmin
      • Password: resAdmin
    4. Click Finish.
  2. In the Deployment section in the Overview tab, click Proceed to RuleApp deployment. The Deployment Summary lists the operations to be deployed and the target server.
  3. Click Finish and deploy the decision service to your target server.
    A deployment report opens to show the results of the deployment.

Results

Your artifacts are deployed to zRule Execution Server for z/OS. You can now log in to the zRule Execution Server for z/OS console and view them.
