SPSS Modeler tutorials

These tutorials are based on assets included with example projects that are available for download, and provide brief, targeted introductions to specific modeling methods and techniques.

Some of the simple flows are already completed in the example projects, but you should still walk through them using their accompanying tutorials. Some of the more complicated flows provided should be completed by following the steps in the tutorials.

Important: Before you begin the tutorials, complete the following steps to download and import the example projects.

Download and import the example projects

  1. Go to Example-Project-CPD.zip and click Download. The .zip file will be downloaded to your local machine.
  2. Go to Example-Project-with-Text-Analytics-CPD.zip and click Download. The .zip file will be downloaded to your local machine.
  3. Open Cloud Pak for Data and go to All Projects.
  4. Click New project, select Analytics project, and click Next.
  5. Select Create a project from file. Browse to the Example-Project-CPD.zip file you downloaded previously. Name the project Example Project and click Create.
  6. Repeat step 5 for Example-Project-with-Text-Analytics-CPD.zip, but name it Example Project with Text Analytics.
