Generating code coverage for z/OS applications

You can generate code coverage results in any of the following methods:

Using an Eclipse IDE:
- Generating code coverage directly
- Generating code coverage in a debug session (does not support 64-bit applications and ZUnit)
In headless mode (does not support macOS):
- Generating code coverage using a deamon
- Generating code coverage using Remote Debug Service (only available with IBM® Developer z/OS® Enterprise Edition and Wazi Code in IBM Z and Cloud Modernization Stack)

You can specify options in the startup key before you generate code coverage in the Eclipse IDE or in headless mode.

You can use the ccexport.sh script to merge and export multiple code coverage results into a single file.

Note: Remote Debug Service and the headless code coverage collector are built on Eclipse and Java technology. Configuration options for Eclipse and Java might affect the behavior of Remote Debug Service and headless code coverage collector.
