Setting the date properties in a data map

You can set the date properties in a data map by using the Data Map Element Editor in the Content Integrator Administration Tool.

About this task

The Rule Builder screen in the Federation Administration application provides a calendar control for properties that use the DATATIME data type.

Procedure

To set the date properties in a data map

  1. Open the Data Map Designer in the Content Integrator Administration Tool.
    Click Configuration Data > Data Maps.
  2. Select a data map from the Configuration Data tree or create a new data map by using the File menu.
  3. Click Create Element or Modify element to open the Data Map Element Editor.
  4. Enter an element name for a new element.
  5. For a new data map, add a connector for the external repository to the data map.
  6. Select an item class (document class) from the Select an Item Class list.
  7. Select a property from the Select a Property list.
  8. Click Property Description to open the Property Description window.
  9. In the Data Type field, select DATETIME from the list.
  10. In the Editor Type field, select EDITOR_DATE from the list.
  11. Save your settings.
