Creating extra connection points and isolated regions

You can optionally create an extra connection point to identify and provide access to a new or existing isolated region of a workflow system.

About this task

You can create connection points for the workflow system that is associated with an object store and for legacy workflow systems. You can create more than one connection point to the same isolated region. By doing so, you can create an alias or easily remembered name for the isolated region for various business needs or applications.

To create a connection point:

1. Start the New Connection Point wizard in the administration console:
   • For a workflow system:
     1. In the domain navigation pane, click the object store.
     2. In the object store navigation tree, right-click the Administrative > Workflow System > Connection Points folder and click New Connection Point.
   • For a legacy workflow system:
     1. In the domain navigation pane, click the legacy workflow system.
     2. In the legacy workflow system navigation tree, right-click the Connection Points folder and click New Connection Point.
2. Complete the wizard steps.
