Run Weight Estimation

  1. To run a Weight Estimation analysis, from the menus choose:

    Analyze > Regression > Weight Estimation...

  2. Select Adjusted Cost of Construction as the dependent variable.
  3. Select Square Footage through Years of Experience of Architect as independent variables.
  4. Select Square Footage as the weight variable.
  5. The spread of residuals increases with square footage, so that means the power value is positive. Choose to search 0 through 5 by 0.5 for the best power value.
  6. Click Options.

  7. Select Save best weight as new variable.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Click OK in the Weight Estimation dialog box.
