On full-duplex conversations, there are five valid conversation
states for receiving information:
- SEND/RECEIVE
- RECEIVE-ONLY
- PENDING_SEND/RECEIVE_LOG
- PENDING_RECEIVE-ONLY_LOG
- PENDING_RESET_LOG
