Outboard (OBR) Record

OBR records (Table 1 and Table 1) are recorded on the logrec data set for any of the following:

• Permanent (uncorrectable or unit check) device failures
• Path failures handled by alternate path recovery
• Temporary or intermittent I/O device failures
• Paging I/O errors
• Counter overflow statistics for I/O devices
• End-of-day requests
• Statistical recording by EREP
• Counter overflow statistics and device failures on teleprocessing devices
• Demount conditions on an IBM® magnetic tape device (3420, 3422, 3430)
