Enabling defensive filtering

To enable defensive filtering, first take both of the following actions:

• Enable the IP security function.

  See Enabling the IP security function.

• Configure the Defense Manager daemon (DMD).

  See Steps for configuring the DMD.

After configuring the DMD and enabling IP security, start the DMD. For details, see Starting the DMD.
