Remote job submission functions fail
For problems with remote job submission, run the FTP JES
trace to check for the following:
- Cannot allocate internal storage
- JES is not communicating
- JES unable to find output for the specified job ID
- Unable to acquire JES access
- Unknown return code from GET JES spool request
- JES unable to provide spool data set name now
- JES unable to get a job ID for a PUT or GET request
- JES PUT or GET aborted, job not found
- JES PUT or GET aborted, internal error
- JES PUT or GET aborted, timeout exceeded
- JES internal reader allocation failed
- JES user exit error
To trace the FTP JES activity, use the DEBUG=(JES) or DUMP=(JES) options of FTP syslog tracing. See Diagnosing FTP server problems with traces for information about activating FTP syslog tracing.
