About this task

This topic provides the diagnostic steps referred to in Table 1.

Procedure

Perform the following steps:

  1. If the TCP/IP console shows a message, see z/OS Communications Server: IP Messages Volume 2 (EZB, EZD) and follow the directions for system programmer response for the message.
    1. Information in the TCP/IP console log should contain a detailed description of the error.
    2. In the event of TCP/IP loops or hangs, see Diagnosing abends, loops, and hangs.
  2. If the SNALINK LU0 console shows a SNALINK error, see the explanation of the corresponding error message as described in z/OS Communications Server: IP Messages Volume 1 (EZA) or z/OS Communications Server: SNA Messages. For more information about diagnosing SNALINK LU0 session outages, see Diagnosing SNALINK LU0 problems.
  3. If the NCPROUTE console shows a message, see z/OS Communications Server: IP Messages Volume 2 (EZB, EZD) and follow the directions for system programmer response for the message.
  4. If the SNMP agent or client console shows a message, see z/OS Communications Server: IP Messages Volume 2 (EZB, EZD) and follow the directions for system programmer response for the message.
