Using the LIST command to obtain fast replication information
Table 1 describes the LIST command parameters that
you can use to obtain information about the fast replication functions.
Parameter | Description of use |
---|---|
COPYPOOL | When you use the COPYPOOL parameter, with no copy pool name, DFSMShsm returns version information for each copy pool that has at least one attempted backup. This information includes the copy pool name, version number, valid or invalid, VTOCENQ, token, backup date, and time. Source and target volume pairs are not listed. Information about whether a version has a dump, or DASD copy, or both, is also included. The SELECT keyword allows the user to limit the scope of output based on the state of the FRBACKUP or FRDUMP. |
COPYPOOL(cpname) | When you use the COPYPOOL(cpname) parameter,
DFSMShsm returns detailed version information for each backup version
for the specified copy pool. This information includes the copy pool
name, version number, valid or invalid, VTOCENQ, token, backup date,
and time. Source and target volume pairs are included in this list.
(The date and time fields are zero for "Prepare" versions). COPYPOOL(cpname) displays the most recent ALLOWPPRCP settings for the
copy pool as follows:
|
COPYPOOL(cpname) ALLVOLS(TOKEN(token)) | When you use the ALLVOLS(TOKEN(token) parameter, DFSMShsm limits the LIST information to the version or versions associated with a specific TOKEN request. |
DATASETS GENERATION(gennum) | Specifies that DFSMShsm is to list data sets associated with a particular generation. The default, DATASETS GENERATIION(0), lists only the most recent DASD and dump copies. |
DATASETS TOKEN(token) | Specifies that DFSMShsm is to list data sets associated with the version with the specified token. |
DUMPCLASS | When you use the DUMPCLASS parameter, DFSMShsm returns information regarding whether the dump class associated with the copy pool is required or optional. |
DVOL | When you use the DVOL parameter, DFSMShsm returns information regarding whether the volume resides in a copy pool. |
HOST | When you use the HOST parameter, DFSMShsm lists the host holding a copy pool resource. If subparameter RESET is specified, DFSMShsm resets associated serialization fields. |
PVOL | When you use the PVOL parameter, with either the BCDS or BOTH subparameters, DFSMShsm returns information about which copy pools the volume is associated with. With ALLDUMPS or BCDS subparameters, should also consider copy pool dumps. Copy pool dumps versions should include the name of the source copy pool. If the volume is in a copy pool, associated information needs to be displayed. Target volumes of a copy pool source/target pair does not display information. To determine which target volumes are associated with a particular source volume, you can use the LIST COPYPOOL(cpname) command. |
