Coding VTAM definitions

This information explains the format of definition statements and macroinstructions and the rules used to code them. For sample definitions to help you implement VTAM® functions in your network, see z/OS Communications Server: SNA Resource Definition Samples.

The VTAMLST definition source validation is available in VTAM as part of the VARY ACT command. It allows you to check the syntax of a definition file without activating the resources in the file. For more information on this function, see z/OS Communications Server: SNA Operation.

The rules detailed in this information are assembler language rules.
