VTAM® issues this message in response to a VARY ACT command on an XCA major node when VTAM is not configured for HPR RTP support and the port statement defines the shared access transport facility (SATF) as MEDIUM=HPRIP (Enterprise Extender).

Reconfigure VTAM to support HPR=RTP, or reconfigure the XCA port to specify an SATF which does not require HPR=RTP. The VARY ACT command may then be entered again.
