ncpname is the name of the NCP that is being activated.

groupname is the name of the line group that is defined to have an association with physical resource puname in message IST1117I.

IST1117I

puname is the resource defined on the PHYSRSC operand of the GROUP definition statement.

This message describes the reason VTAM cannot associate groupname in message IST1079I and puname.

System action

VTAM does not associate line group groupname or its subordinate resources with puname. groupname is activated as an independent line group.

Operator response

Save the system log for problem determination.

System programmer response

Ensure that the PHYSRSC operand on the GROUP statement for groupname specifies a PU statement in the same NCP definition and that the PU is owned by the host activating the NCP.
