On z/OS® system images, the guest platform management provider (GPMP) is the interface between the z/OS workload manager (WLM) and the IBM® zEnterprise® Unified Resource Manager. The GPMP supports platform management functions and provides policy information to WLM about the platform-wide performance goals of workloads in which the z/OS system is participating.

On this panel you can specify whether you want WLM to manage the guest platform management provider on each system of the sysplex. If activation is selected, WLM automatically starts each guest platform management provider and restarts it as needed. Otherwise, you must manually start and stop the guest platform management provider. By default, activation is not enabled.
In addition, you can specify the systems in the sysplex on which the guest platform management provider should not be started automatically.
