System-managed rebuild is designed primarily for use in a planned reconfiguration environment. It provides only limited capability for recovery for loss of connectivity. System-managed duplexing rebuild is designed to handle loss of connectivity in a transparent way while two instances of the structure exist in the Duplex Established phase. Loss of connectivity prior to and subsequent to the Duplex Established phase are handled in a manner consistent with system-managed rebuild processing.
