During processing when you are using a cache structure, you might periodically need to obtain statistics about your use of the storage classes you have defined. For example, you can use the statistics to help analyze how efficiently you are using the cache structure. For a specified storage class, the system can return information as described in Table 1.

To read storage class statistics, use the IXLCACHE REQUEST=READ_STGSTATS request. The system returns the statistics to a storage area that you specify. You must issue the request once for each storage class whose statistics you read.
