Unable to perform FREEDS command. The data set text1 for the DDNAME=text2 is busy.

Explanation

This message is issued when an operator issues a FREEDS command for a DD name for which the associated data set is currently in use.
text1
The name of the data set associated with the DD name.
text2
The DD name for which the request was issued.

System action

The system ignores the command.

Operator response

Retry the command later.
