Operator command support changes

z/OS DFSMS Software Support for IBM System Storage TS1140, TS1130, and TS1120 Tape Drives (3592)

Volumes with EFMT3 and EEFMT3 recording technology are only displayed on systems with full TS1130 tape drive support installed.

These operator tasks have been changed in support of the TS1130 tape drive.

  • The DISPLAY SMS,VOLUME command displays the new EFMT3 and EEFMT3 recording technology, as appropriate, in the output display for CBR1180I (OAM tape volume status).
  • The LIBRARY DISPDRV command displays 3592-3E for the TS1130 tape drive in the output display for CBR1220I (Tape drive status).
  • The LIBRARY SETCL command allows MEDIA5, MEDIA6, MEDIA7, MEDIA8, MEDIA9, and MEDIA10 to be set for a TS1130 tape drive that supports a cartridge loader.
